Welcome to the Nosara 2024 Census
Nosara is a vibrant community, which is at a key moment in its development.
According to estimates, Nosara is the second district in the country with the highest annual population growth . This growth has brought with it challenges in areas such as access to basic services, infrastructure and environmental sustainability.

Who does it?
The Nosara Census is a community initiative coordinated by two local non-profit organizations: ADC (Alliance for Community Development) and ConoSer. These organizations manage fundraising, design communication campaigns, and oversee data collection, ensuring that the process is transparent and effective, thus benefiting the entire community.

The National Institute of Statistics and Census (INEC) supports this initiative as a technical advisor, providing:

INEC's critical responsibility includes receiving, processing, analyzing and safeguarding the information collected. This handling under strict confidentiality protocols protects personal and community information, ensuring its integrity and security.

To ensure the safety and confidence of the community, census takers will be properly identified. Each census taker will have:

Official ID with photo and personal information

Distinctive uniform that clearly identifies them as part of the census team

Verifiable credentials provided by ADC, ConoSer and INEC
Additionally, from November 11th, you can verify the identity on this website and via WhatsApp at ++506 7185 4652, channels available so that any member of the community can confirm the identity of the census takers before providing information.
